Condition Monitoring rig

The rig is used for research on dynamics of rotating machines and condition monitoring. It consists of two motors, a gearbox, bearings and finally, discs that are used to create rotor imbalance. The running speed range is 1000-3000rpm and torque can be applied due to the 2 motor configuration. In terms of condition monitoring, currently accelerometers are mounted on the bearings and gearbox in order to measure vibration responses, by means of a picoscope, for the range of speeds available.
